Veitas and Veitas Engineers Provides Structural Design for Mega Lifestyle Center Expansion
MarketStreet Lynnfield retail center is expanding its footprint. Veitas and Veitas Engineers is the designated structural engineer for the 107,000 SF expansion.

Veitas and Veitas Engineers is partnering with Prellwitz Chilinski Associates, National Development, WS Development and Cranshaw Construction to provide structural design for the four structure addition at MarketStreet Lynnfield, the North Shore’s largest open-air retail center. The structures, intended to house a diverse group of retailers, utilize metal stud exterior wall construction, moment and brace frames to provide lateral stability and also meet snow drift requirements.
Construction is scheduled to continue through 2014 and a phased opening is planned for the first half of 2015.
Phase I of MarketStreet Lynnfield, completed in October 2013, presents a unique town center experience, multiple outdoor social spaces and 54 retail, entertainment and dining destinations. The lifestyle and retail development is currently anchored by a 45,000 SF Whole Foods Market and Kings while offering a vast array of dining options including Legal C Bar, Starbucks and Yard House.
