The International School of Hospitality (TISOH®) proudly announces its recognition by the Association for Talent Development (ATD) Greater Las Vegas Chapter at their annual awards event held on March 20, 2025. TISOH was presented with the prestigious Tribute to Learning Award for Building Personal Capability, highlighting its commitment to fostering professional growth and advancing education in the hospitality and service industries.
This distinguished award celebrates the Certified Professional in Guest Experience (CPGE™), a certification program operated by Certplace and built on the expertise of TISOH’s faculty. TISOH’s academic team has developed competency models that align with industry standards, contributing to a range of respected hospitality certifications, including the Certified Wedding Industry Professional and the Certified Hotel Concierge.
The CPGE™ is designed to enhance guest service skills across industries by focusing on practical competencies, communication, and guest retention strategies. CPGE™ addresses gaps in outdated certifications, which emphasize emotions rather than measurable skills. Developed through intense research and rigorous evaluation, the program introduced a guest experience meta-model to guide training. The learning methodology leverages TISOH’s CLIMB® Guest Experience Model consisting of the principles of Discover Guests, Connect with Guests, Wow Guests, Empower Guests and Acknowledge Guests, to deliver actionable strategies for creating outstanding guest experiences. Early adopters show promising results, with participants reporting improved guest interactions, empathy, and satisfaction scores. Employers say the key outcomes are better staff communication and stronger customer connections.
“We are honored to receive this recognition from ATD Greater Las Vegas. At TISOH, we strive to create meaningful learning experiences that elevate personal and professional capabilities. This award reaffirms our commitment to delivering high-quality education and equipping our students with tools to thrive in their careers,” said Dr. Sean McCray, Associate Director of Academic Affairs, TISOH, and Director of Community Relations and Strategic Partnerships, ATD Greater Las Vegas.
