Spuntino Wine Bar & Italian Tapas in Clifton, NJ and Westbury, NY to Host VIP Events to Celebrate Wine Spectator “Award of Excellence” Wins

Spuntino Wine Bar & Italian Tapas in Clifton, New Jersey and Westbury, NY announced today that they are celebrating their individual “Best of Award of Excellence” 2-Glass Awards, which they recently received from Wine Spectator Magazine, with two special invitation-only events.

To celebrate, the restaurants are hosting private, VIP Happy Hours to showcase their award-winning wines and legendary service with highly-valued customers and other special guests. Invited to the events will be local officials, each restaurant’s best VIP customers, area food and beverage influencers, Doherty’s senior executives, and members of the culinary and wine press.

Guests will be treated to select wines, passed hors ‘oeuvres, a few words from the Doherty family, and a champagne toast to commemorate the prestigious honors. The event is scheduled to run for approximately one hour.

• Spuntino Westbury, NY’s Event will be held on Thursday, September 8th at 6pm.
• Spuntino Clifton, NJ’s Event will be held on Friday, September 9th at 6pm.

Each year, the Best of Award of Excellence recognizes restaurants that excel in offering guests critically acclaimed selections from top producers and regions from around the world. Both Clifton and Westbury won the coveted 2-Glasses awards. This is the fourth consecutive year Westbury’s Spuntino bar has earned a 2-Glass recognition. This is the first year Clifton’s Spuntino Wine Bar has earned the prestigious 2-Glass recognition having earned Award of Excellence recognitions in the past.
