Somerset Holiday Park Wins Gold at the Tourism Awards

Sandy Glade Holiday Park in Burnham-on-Sea, have come away from the Bristol, Bath and Somerset Tourism Awards winning Gold for Holiday Park of the Year.

The judges made secret visits to each holiday park in the category, looking at all aspects of the business including online presence, accessibility and customer service.

John Fowler holiday park manager, Warren Friend said “We are absolutely over the moon to win the Gold award, the team work extremely hard to ensure our customers have the best stay with us and this just shows that hard work pays off."

In 2017 the Somerset holiday park were highly commended in the awards, so to win the top accolade the following year is a huge achievement.

On Thursday 15^th November a record number of winners were announced at Bristol, Bath and Somerset Tourism Awards Ceremony at the Apex Hotel in Bath. Nearly 300 guests from the best tourism businesses across the Bristol, Bath and Somerset attended a black tie dinner and awards ceremony at the Apex Hotel in Bath on Thursday, with sponsors presenting 86 hand crafted awards made by Shakspeare Glass.

Gold Award winners will automatically be considered for matching categories in the South West Excellence Awards, which will be announced on 7th February 2019 at Aerospace Bristol.
