Captain Mark T. McNally, United States Navy (Retired), a distinguished naval aviator, veteran advocate, and proud University of Missouri alumnus, was honored on Tuesday, February 24, during a University of Missouri (Mizzou) Tigers men’s basketball game as the Veterans United Home Loans Hero of the Game.

Captain McNally earned his degree in Physics from the University of Missouri in 1975 and commissioned through Navy ROTC at Mizzou, beginning an extraordinary naval career marked by leadership, service, and operational excellence. As a naval aviator, he completed more than 950 aircraft carrier landings and logged over 3,800 flight hours in the A-6 Intruder.

His distinguished service earned him numerous military honors, including the Legion of Merit, five Meritorious Service Medals, two Navy Commendation Medals—including one awarded for valor in combat—and the Navy Achievement Medal.

Following his retirement, Captain McNally has continued his lifelong commitment to service through veteran advocacy and leadership. He currently serves as the Veterans Advocate for HYDR8 US LLC, where he helps guide the company’s mission to honor and support veterans and first responders through purpose-driven initiatives and community engagement.

“This recognition is a powerful tribute not only to my father’s remarkable career, but to the values he continues to live by,” said Amy McNally, Founder & CEO of HYDR8 US LLC. “His leadership, integrity, and dedication to veterans did not end with retirement — they remain central to how he serves today.”
