Artists Institute

About

The Institute is based in Jacmel on Haiti’s southern coast. It was founded as Festival Film Jakmel in 2004. Ciné Institute, Haiti’s film school, was born from that in 2008. Following the 2010 earthquake, the movement grew to become the Artists Institute, a professional training and technical resource campus established to empower youth-led film and music production industries. Today the Institute is a creative community platform for artists of all kinds and is one of Haiti’s vital cultural institutions.
