Forgiveness Brings Better Health

Sacramento, CA (PRUnderground) June 25, 2014

Why the need to encourage forgiveness?  Unforgiveness, bitterness and holding a grudge are all emotional stresses that negatively affect our health more than most realize.

Higher rates of heart disease in those who do not forgive.

In the journal Social Psychiatry and Psychiatric Epidemiology in 2010, researchers report that those who hold grudges reported higher rates of heart disease and cardiac arrest, elevated blood pressure, stomach ulcers, arthritis, back problems, headaches and chronic pain than those who didn’t share this tendency.

This is not the only study that links unforgiveness to health problems.

Lower levels of depression reported by those who do forgive.

In a 2003 study by Neal Krause and Christopher Ellison in the Journal for the Scientific Study of Religion the findings showed in general that those who practice forgiveness reported greater personal well-being, including lower levels of depression and physical health complaints as well as higher levels of life satisfaction.

To support and help spread the importance of the day and the subject, author and international speaker, Bill Krause of Bill Krause Ministries is inviting you to experience the true freedom of forgiveness through his books, articles and CDs, MP3 downloads.
