Mehraban Advisory Group, LLC Appoints Mr. Erik Amaro Lott as Chief Security Officer (CSO)

Mehraban Advisory Group LLC. today announced that the Company welcomes Mr. Erik Amaro Lott, CFE®. Board of Directors has appointed Mr. Erik Amaro Lott as Chief Security Officer (CSO) effective November 4, 2021 He has also been elected Chair of the Advisory Committee. Mr. Lott served as Chief of a Special Investigations Unit and was an Internal Affairs Supervisor for the United States Federal Government, Executive Branch prior to his retirement in December of 2020.

Mr. Lott has over 20 years of experience in supervision of internal investigations, quality assurance reviews and has supervised cross-functional teams of investigators and auditors during the evaluation of federal programs and operations.  He has supervised and worked highly sensitive investigations involving senior executive leaders, and other seniors in matters involving alleged misconduct, whistleblower complaints, and retaliation allegations.  He has testified at federal criminal trial, EEO and MSPB proceedings.

Mr. Lott served as the Chairman and Chair emeritus of the National Internal Affairs Work Group for Inspectors General, comprised of government investigators and auditors of the Inspector General Office from several departments, and served as a liaison to local law enforcement during his tenure as a federal agent. He is a certified fraud examiner (CFE) and member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). Mr. Lott is a 1998 graduate of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center’s (FLETC), Criminal Investigator Training Program (CITP) as well as the Inspector General Academy (1999). He also served as a Use of Force instructor and is a graduate of the Force Science Institute.

Mr. Lott is an eight-year veteran of the United States Coast Guard (Active Duty and Active Reserve), with service tours both domestic and international, being deployed to both the Republic of Turkey and Republic of Panama. He graduated from the Armed Forces Defense Information School (DINFOS) in 1991, and served as a public affairs specialist, with national publication and live radio experience, as well as extensive public speaking engagements.
