The new accounting standard for leases is already in effect for public companies and goes into effect in late 2021 for all other organizations.

This online Lease CPE webinar will cover the critical decisions required under the new lease standard. Topics covered include implementation decisions related to discount rates, how to handle existing balances, leasehold improvements, related parties, materiality and embedded leases (including practical expedients and mistakes to avoid). Additional topics will include ongoing decisions related to the lease standard such as fair value, economic life and separating lease and non-lease components.

The seminar will count for 1 CPE credit for Certified Management Accountants (CMA), Certified Fraud Examiners (CFEs) and Accounting for all CPAs.  The seminar will also count for 1 CPD credit (Verifiable) for Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), and 1 General Educational credit for Tax Professionals/Bookkeepers/Accountants
