His audience came through videos posted on Youtube and other online platforms such as Facebook and Twitter. Zimbo, along with B6 SLASH his former rap group, really were the pioneers of UK Gangster Rap. Many songs have been released and gained thousands of views, some well over the 250,000 marker with little or no marketing or promotion.
In 2012, Zimbo appeared in an award-winning channel 4 documentary called One Mile Away which followed the journey of two men from opposing side of a 20 year gang rivalry try to bring about a truce. This opened many doors for Zimbo with business as well as music. Since then he has become a prominent public speaker and grown into a respected community leader. With a great influence through his music, he now releases his new single titled ‘By Blood”.
