FreightCenter Holds Food Drive to Close Gaps in Giving
F.E.A.S.T. Food Pantry in Palm Harbor feeds hungry families one bag at a time, and it needs the community’s help to keep those bags full all year long.

FreightCenter, a third-party freight shipping provider based in Palm Harbor, urges local residents to donate now during “leaner months” when food pantry shelves are bare. In support of the F.E.A.S.T. Food Pantry, FreightCenter will host a food drive to collect non-perishable food and hygiene items until October 5.
“Palm Harbor is a close-knit community for business owners and residents alike. A lot of us live where we work so when we hear about a struggling charity such as F.E.A.S.T., we do our best to fill gaps in giving. Our philanthropic mission is to deliver cheer in the community and we’re excited to draw attention and much-needed support for our neighbors at F.E.A.S.T.,” said Terese Kerrigan, director of marketing communications for FreightCenter.
Every Tuesday through Friday, F.E.A.S.T. invites its clients to pay what they can for a paper grocery bag containing a mix of non-perishable foods, frozen foods, produce (when available), and self-care products.
Both tax-deductible monetary and in-kind donations are needed. One-time, recurring, and planned giving options are available online. The F.E.A.S.T. Food Pantry accepts in-kind donations at 2255 Nebraska Avenue.
The following items are in high demand:
- Macaroni and cheese
- Rice & potato side dishes
- Canned vegetables
- Protein drinks
- Shampoo and conditioner
- Laundry & dish soap
- Body soap
- Toothpaste
FreightCenter invites the public to donate at its office located at 34125 U.S. 19 North, Suite 300. The company accepts only in-kind donations of non-perishable food and hygiene products. Monetary donations will not be accepted at this location. Donation drop off hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.. The food drive ends on Friday, October 5.
