Did you know that your printer may tell you that your Brother Toner Cartridge is empty when it is not? Well it does. Due to the price associated with these products it is imperative to gain the most use possible from your Brother Toner cartridge. This simple tip enables you to do so.

First, remove the Brother Toner Cartridges from the printer. You will notice that there are two tiny windows on either side of the cartridge. These windows enable the printer to see how empty the cartridge is, however the printer can often mistake the cartridge for being empty when it is not. Taping these windows makes the printer think there is more toner within the cartridge.

Often when the empty cartridge light comes on a printer it will not allow any further printing until the cartridge has been replaced. This technique enables you to continue printing until your Brother Toner cartridge is truly empty. However you will have to remain watchful for fading, streaking and other print defects, as the printer will provide no warning. When these occur it is time to change the toner cartridge and a replacement should be pre-purchased to prepare for this occurrence.
