DITTO Announces New Way to Find the Perfect Designer Glasses: Crowd-Sourced Style Advice
Online designer eyewear retailer DITTO.com launches a new site feature where users can give and receive style advice after looking at each others "DITTOs".

Online eyewear retailer DITTO.com today announced the launch of a new site feature that marries their existing virtual try-on technology with crowd-sourced style advice. After a user creates a "DITTO", a video of their face from their webcam to virtually try on designer glasses, other users can vote on which pair of glasses looks best on them.
"We’ve conducted hundreds of customer interviews since our launch last summer. The one comment that kept reoccurring was ‘I can tell which ones fit, but I’m still not sure which ones look best on me’”, said CEO and Cofounder, Kate Endress. “We are hopeful this feature allows customers to get valuable feedback on crowd favorites for their unique face and have fun giving style advice to others.”
How Crowd-Sourced Style Advice Works:
- Create your DITTO from your webcam, which takes about 20 seconds, and opt-in to get crowd sourced style advice. Virtually try on your favorite glasses and sunglasses. Your recently viewed items will be made available for others to vote on.
- Share your style advice with other people by voting on which pair you think looks best on them. Then see how your picks stack up with the rest of the community. You can participate even if you don’t have your own DITTO yet.
- See the results. Once a sufficient number of votes are in, you will receive an email with the pair the crowd thinks looks best on you.
