Credico Goes "Totally '80s" for Lower Eastside Girls Club of New York

Credico USA was a partner-level sponsor of the 2016 Lower Eastside Girls Club (LESGC) Spring Fling event held May 25 at the Bowery Hotel in New York.

The LESGC was founded in 1996 to provide holistic, community-based programs and services for local girls and young women to help break the cycle of poverty by connecting girls to healthy and successful futures. Its state-of-the-art center offers programs in the arts, sciences, leadership, entrepreneurship and wellness for middle- and high-school girls and their families.

“Credico promotes opportunity for talented people of all ages,” said Jesse Young, Credico president. “The Lower Eastside Girls Club is a worthy cause, as it directly aligns with our core values as a company.”

With a prom night theme, Spring Fling attendees were encouraged to wear their most eye-catching 1980s-era attire. The evening featured a choir performance by the girls of LESGC and a special video appearance by TV personality, producer, author and businesswoman Tyra Banks.

“It was a fun evening for a great cause,” Young said. “We believe in the entrepreneurial spirit and it was encouraging to see that same spirit on display in the talented young women of the Lower Eastside Girls Club.”
