Choate Construction Company was selected by GreyStone Power to provide construction services for their 50-acre site expansion in Douglasville, Georgia.

Correction Notice Press Release — Choate Construction Company was selected by GreyStone Power to provide construction services for their 50-acre site expansion in Douglasville, Georgia.  The project includes a 99,000-SF, three-story Class A office building, a 40,500-SF operations and engineering building, a 50,000-SF warehouse, 75,000-SF in vehicle maintenance/metering shop, and approximately 13-acres of concrete paving is programmed for service buildings.  Groundbreaking is scheduled for July 2019.

GreyStone has been in its current location since the early 1960’s.  The new headquarters will provide a centralized location for its service area and will provide much needed room to accommodate GreyStone’s daily operations.

“We are excited to begin construction on GreyStone’s expansion, which is truly a transformative project for the region,” said Craig Cartrett, Project Executive at Choate Construction.

Located west of Atlanta, GreyStone Power serves portions of eight counties including Paulding, Douglas, Fulton, Coweta, Cobb, Fayette, Carroll, and Bartow. GreyStone Power Corporation is a member owned electric cooperative.

Atlanta-based Smallwood, Reynolds, Stewart, Stewart is the architect for the project. JLL Project and Development Services Division serves as the program manager that will oversee development and construction, co-managed by Mark Elliot, AIA, Vice President and Hans Heath, Vice President.
