Come to Dublin with Hotel Direct and see Bloc Party live

Tickets for their 12th February performance at the Olympia venue sold out so quickly, organisers agreed to put on another show on the same stage the very next night.

One of the most popular UK bands of the last ten years, Bloc Party have won a huge following amongst indie rock fans the world over since they burst onto the scene with their debut album, Silent Alarm, in 2005, and the London-based four piece are now enjoying a huge resurgence in popularity.

Not long ago, Bloc Party's followers were concerned that they had heard the last from their idols, with no hint of a new record appearing since going on hiatus after the top ten success of their third album Intimacy in 2008. However, frontman Kele Okereke and his band mates then amazed their fan base by making a storming comeback with the aptly named Four, which received great reviews and stormed into the UK charts at number three last year.

Now, the 'Two More Years' and 'The Prayer' stars are celebrating their return with several select dates across the world, and the Irish capital has been confirmed as one of the few lucky cities that will be treated to their famously energetic set in the coming months, with rooms at many of the nearby Dublin hotels now available from Hotel Direct.

Tickets for their 12th February performance at the Olympia venue sold out so quickly that organisers agreed to put on another show on the same stage the very next night, and some spaces can still be secured for this recently announced follow-up concert. Anyone wanting to come along will have to be quick, though, with places at the gig sure to disappear soon, along with the very best of Hotel Direct's hotel deals currently on offer for the city.
