On Thursday, September 20 at 1:30 p.m., the Lakeland Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon cutting at the new Lakeland Realtors building at 619 E. Orange Street.

Coldwell Banker Commercial Saunders Ralston Dantzler Realty (CBCSRD) agents Kyle Vreeland and Richard Dempsey helped lead the development team for the new building project over the last several years. Vreeland is the current president of Lakeland Realtors, and Dempsey is a former association president and current member of the board of directors.

“Lakeland Realtors voted to become a catalyst in this neighborhood by buying, designing and building an architecturally-sensitive new project,” said Vreeland, who is also an architect and helped design the new headquarters. “This building will serve the neighborhood and the members for decades to come.”

The previous home for Lakeland Realtors was on South Florida Avenue near Dixieland and the organization had outgrown the two-story office building. In addition to the aesthetics the new building offers the downtown community, it offers more space, energy efficiency and a state-of-the-art training classroom. Technology for the classroom was donated by CBCSRD.

Tora Miller, Director of Communications for the Lakeland Chamber of Commerce noted the significant role the Lakeland Realtors play in the growth of the community.

“The Lakeland Chamber is excited to be celebrating this new building and location for the Lakeland Realtors with a ribbon cutting, “ Miller said. “The Lakeland Realtors do so much for our community, Lakeland is attracting more and more individuals and companies to move here and they make it an easy transition.”

Lakeland Mayor Bill Mutz will be a special guest at the event for the dedication and blessing of the new building. He is also the keynote speaker for the Lakeland Realtors annual luncheon held earlier in the day.

The ribbon cutting celebration lasts about 30 minutes, and is free and open to the public. No registration is required.
