‘Artportunity Knocks’ Awarded 2020 Funding From Fulton County Arts Council

Artportunity Knocks, a local non-profit organization dedicated to providing high-quality STEM and arts education classes and camps for students in grades K12, announces that the organization has been awarded a 2020 Contracts for Arts Services grant award from the Fulton County Arts Council (FCAC). FCAC awards funding to non-profits whose programming supports arts and cultural services to Fulton County residents.
“During these unprecedented times, it’s encouraging for our organization to receive an award of this magnitude which will support our digital arts initiative during COVID-19,” said Ty Woods, CEO of Artportunity Knocks.
Artportunity Knocks’ online learning academy is for students who are homebound due to COVID19. A digital arts initiative to prevent learning loss, students will receive free live classes taught by artists and certified teachers on various subjects including various forms of Arts and STEM.
The Fulton County Department of Arts & Culture serves Fulton County citizens by supporting, developing and implementing arts and culture programming. In 2020, they awarded $1.62 million in funding to more than 130 local organizations and programs that enhance the quality of life of all citizens through the arts.
