AMS Vans Recognizes National Disability Employment Awareness Month
Mobility Freedom Advocate joins the US Department of Labor in Promoting Inclusion

Atlanta, GA (PRUnderground) October 19, 2017
AMS Vans — the Southeast’s largest wheelchair accessible vehicle manufacturer and mobility dealer — joins the US Department of Labor in recognizing National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) for the month of October 2017. This year’s NDEAM theme — ‘Innovation Drives Inclusion’ — is particularly meaningful to the AMS Vans team for a couple of unique reasons.
The first is that inclusion describes the AMS Vans business mission — as their mobility experts work every day to lift up the community of customers that the company lovingly considers and refers to as the ‘AMS Vans Family’. The second is that AMS Vans believes technological innovation drives mobility freedom — in every wheelchair accessible vehicle and piece of mobility equipment that they sell.
AMS Vans President and CEO Kip Crum explains, ‘Creating career opportunities for persons with disabilities has always been a cause that we champion on both a professional and personal level. AMS Vans hosts an annual career fair at our dealership — it’s the perfect opportunity for our company to help the community that we care so much about’.
The career fair — hosted in partnership with the Metropolitan Employment Network Association — is scheduled for Friday, October 16th at 10 am and will feature the following unique elements:
- Over 20 companies with job opportunities
- Career guidance and resource offerings
- Initial interviews with company representatives on-site
- Located in the AMS Vans dealership showroom
