A new E-book "Truthful Tall Tales High Strangeness in an Ordinary Life" by author Ken Lehnig

Every story has a beginning. This is the beginning of this story, a truthful tall tale of an improbable life, a life in so many ways still quite ordinary, lucid, and satisfying. To that point, this is not an autobiography, but a light cast on parts of a life colored by high strangeness.

I have told of these events as stories to my children as nighttime tales and to friends over a few beers. All of the tales were true but, if I’m honest, may have been embellished for the sake of the story.

My daughter, now in her forties, called me and asked about the stories and asked if they were true. I told her ‘yes’. She told me that it was my responsibility to write it all down as a legacy. A story has a beginning, middle and end, but writing these stories I had to remember the start of the event, the event, and the aftermath of the event. All much different, more detailed, more personal, and much more affecting than the compact storytelling I told all my life.

The following is not meant to be an autobiography. These true stories, however, are in sequence. It is my story told by my alter ego, Kent. I found it personally less upsetting to write a non-fiction book as fictional storytelling. Although I still experienced anxiety, nightmares, and short periods of unexplained illness during the writing of this account. The events herein happened; however, I did take some liberties in the dialogue. Although I remember the event, the place, the time, and the gist of each conversation, the exact words allude me. I never reported any of these events to any authority, but took them as a personal journey, navigating the bumpy and unwanted trip down the rabbit hole on my own.

It is my hope that others with a lifetime of multiple high-strange experiences come forward and tell their stories. As a writer, I wrote the book to tell a true tall tale, to entertain, to disturb, and to enlighten

At the time of writing this book, I am healthy, hale, full-witted 73 years old and am no closer to having any understanding, nor have I found any meaning, profound, mundane, or delusional.

I have as yet never seen Bigfoot.
