The website reports that nearly 50% of bookings taken recently are for the period 20 July to 11 August as Brits reserve their rental cars for getting around during the Olympics.

121carhire.com also reports a jump in bookings by overseas residents as – with people heading to London from as far afield as New Zealand, Malaysia and Hong Kong.

Michael Bond, spokesperson for 121carhire.com, says, “We’ve seen a marked spike in reservations lately as the country gets set for the Olympics. The UK is expecting an influx of people from around the globe, many of whom will need cars to get out and about.”
