Your Car Dealer Bond (YCDB) was founded in 2011 in Fremont, CA. Since then, YCDB established its headquarters in Fresno with production offices in Bakersfield and Corona.

OUR HISTORY
Initially, Mike Ramos worked as the Director of Nationwide Operations at Pacific Specialty Insurance Company (PSIC) out of Menlo Park, CA. Employment at this mid-sized insurance company provided Mike the opportunity to cultivate relationships with various managers and supervisors. These significant relationships would eventually lead to the formation of Your Car Dealer Bond, LLC (YCDB) in late 2011.

While working at PSIC, Mike received many requests for insight on how to get a car dealer license, questions on how much is a dealer license, and where to obtain a low-cost dealer bond. This was approximately during the period of the recession in 2008 and 2009, when used auto dealers were witnessing their bond prices triple. It was an unfortunate time for these dealers.
Mike attempted to support dealers through referrals to insurance agents whom he had known for years and whom he thought to be reliable. However, it was soon discovered that their customer service standards were less than desirable. Mike began receiving calls from frustrated, prospective auto dealers who had been ignored for days after their referral for a quote. All these scenarios developed as a revelation.
HOW OUR BRAND NAME ORIGINATED
Mike’s objective had always been to establish a dealer license business that truly catered to the used car dealer by offering personalized surety bond services. Therefore, he understood the entire dealer bond insurance process required considerable improvement if his vision was to be pursued.
The phrase “Your Car Dealer Bond” encompassed all that Mike’s company originally intended to spotlight, and that is how the name was filed.
