Top 10 Super Bowl LVI Players That Earned
Most Social Media Followers
With the 2021 National Football League season now done and dusted, and the Los Angeles Rams the newest Super Bowl champions, people are starting to break down the aftermath of the big game.
Cooper Kupp was the biggest winner on the field from the 2021 season, winning the AP NFL Offensive Player of the Year award as well as the Super Bowl MVP, with his game-winning touchdown catch late in the fourth quarter to propel the Rams to a 23-20 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.
But what about off the field, in the world of social media?
According to a study done by American Gambler, it was not anyone from the victorious Rams that made the biggest jump on social media, but it was the player who was the breakout star off the field.
“When you look at the numbers, the overwhelming winner from the Super Bowl, at least from the social media standpoint, is Joe Borrow,” an American Gambler spokesperson said. “Ice Cold Joe was red hot on the field in the playoffs, and that translated to the social media following. His personality has really helped drive that as well, as people see that he is a winner.
“Of course, the Rams won the game, and people love winners, especially in Los Angeles. Cooper Kupp was the MVP on the field, and he was the biggest gainer for the Rams as well.”
The bump also extended to the performers as well. Mickey Guyton, who sang the National Anthem before kickoff, made a huge jump in followers on both Instagram and Twitter.
“Most of the eyes were on the halftime show, as 50 Cent, Eminem, Snoop Dog, Kendrick Lamar, Dre, and Mary J. Blige put on a memorable performance,” an American Gambler spokesperson said. “But when you see the jump Mickey Guyton made, the Super Bowl was obviously a huge boon to her career. She does not have the numbers Eminem does–not many have 34 million followers– but I would imagine she will become a household name in the coming months.”
So which players will make the jump next February in Super Bowl LVII? That is the million-dollar question, right?
“If you can predict the next Super Bowl big performers, you might be the next Nostradamus,” the American Gambler spokesperson joked. “You would probably be very wealthy come February of 2023. If I had to make a guess, I would say Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen are the two best bets to make that huge jump in social media from Super Bowl LVII, but there is always the chance someone comes out of the blue like Joe Burrow.”
“Maybe it will be Burrow again? In the NFC, I think maybe Trey Lance could be that guy. In fact, that might be the smart play.”
