Wartburg College Partners with Akademos to Streamline Course Material Adoptions, Purchasing, and Customer Service

Starting winter term 2020, The Wartburg Store will transfer management of textbook adoptions and fulfillment to the Akademos online course materials platform. The college will continue to grow the services offered at the on-campus store to support the sale of school spirit and general merchandise items while working with Akademos to offer a variety of benefits, including significant cost savings, extensive customer support and an innovative adoption process.
Akademos will provide the college an online platform where students can easily access a variety of affordable textbooks and course materials through a convenient, personalized shopping experience. This student-focused move will also provide streamlined online order pickup and superior customer service.

The online bookstore additionally will support Wartburg College’s faculty and administrators, with a comprehensive platform that offers a modernized process for managing all aspects of course materials adoption with a step-by-step guide for selections, recommendations and past adoption history and the ability to compare prices in real-time. The analytics tools also give leadership increased visibility into the process with the ability to track critical data, including student purchasing and utilization, and the ability to connect with faculty and students via built-in notifications.
