If you’re thinking about getting solar PV panels fitted to your home, or even if you’re just looking for a way to reduce your energy bill or carbon footprint, then the Solar Advanced Systems website has a great tool to help you work out just what the benefits will be to you.
The solar revolution looks set to continue gathering speed in Britain, as it was announced today that Waltham forest is the latest area to wake up and realise the investment opportunities from solar power.
Waltham forest council have proposed plans to fit more than 1000 council homes in the area with PV (Photovoltaic) solar panels. It’s a clear win-win situation for everybody, with tenants of the council homes being able to save up to £110 a year on energy bills; while the panels themselves will generate more than £11 million pounds over a 25 year period. While the project will cost the best part of £9 million to complete, the government are clearly looking into the future of renewable energy before it’s too late.
Solar energy is one of the newest and most popular renewable energy solutions available to people today. The simple concept of using the power of the sun to power items has been around for years; take a calculator or a torch for example. However the idea has since become more sophisticated, the PV panels can power the electricity in your home through the energy they have soaked up and collected during the day. If you were to pay for the panels your self, you could see yearly bills shrinking by up to £900 and staggering profit of over £25,000 in 25 years.
About Solar Advanced Sytems:
At Solar Advanced Systems we provide cost effective solar PV systems that maximise this powerful free source of energy, reducing your costs and helping the planet at the same time.
Solar PV is a renewable energy system which uses solar PV panels to convert sunlight into electricity. The PV cells consist of thin layers of a semi-conducting material, usually silicon, which generates an electric charge when exposed to daylight (rather than heat). The greater the intensity of light, the greater the flow of electricity.
