Voices of Fashion highlights designers in Southeast region and local boutiques in the Charleston area for a weekend focused on multicultural impact in fashion industry.

An inaugural three-day fashion weekend is coming to the Charleston area to create a fresh cultural experience for the Southeast region on June 27-29.
The event provides an opportunity for fashion enthusiasts to explore and celebrate the impact different cultures have in the fashion industry. Voices of Fashion wants to develop a long lasting love and appreciation for the cultural influences that have shaped fashion as we know it today.
“Many times we see fashion and hear about fashion, but we don’t understand fashion.” says founder Jacob Taylor. “Voices of Fashion is here to educate, cultivate and create an experience that will leave a lasting impression on the minds of the community.”
As part of its mission to educate, Voices of Fashion will encourage passionate dialogue by kicking off the three-day experience with a meet and greet with designers, models, panelists and sponsors open to the public on Thursday, June 27 at Blue Note in N. Charleston. The next day, Friday, June 28, Voices of Fashion will take the streets of Vendue Lane, near the historic pineapple fountain in Downtown Charleston, for an exclusive street show where models will showcase local boutiques and designers in and around the Lowcountry.
Saturday, June 29 is finale day where a panel brunch will be hosted by Blue Note for a panel discussion to provide an opportunity for fashion enthusiasts to voice their cultural perspective on fashion. Later that evening, the finale fashion show will showcase ready to wear and haute couture pieces from eight to ten top designers in the region. Entertainment will be provided by some of the most influential artists and musicians in the Charleston area.
