VC Direct looks to help startups to get their name out to the right people in the right places. A deal can grow a startup virtually overnight. Since most startups are so focused on running the business and raising the capital needed, many have no where to start with public relations. VC Direct was birthed out of a passion to help these startups of all sizes gain exposure via public relations and media.
“Startups need to concentrate on gaining traction in their business, and in some instances very quickly,” says Sanford Ashley, President of VC Direct.” They are trying to see how to get their next round of funding, who to hire and and tons of other things. What VC Direct does is partner with startups, venture capitalists and other types of companies to advance their public relations cause. Since over the years we have been involved with media, publishing, radio and marketing, we understand business from the executive, the sales rep, and the business development perspectives. VC Direct can do a deeper dive into a startup since we have all of these experiences.”
VC Direct wants to partner with these startups to help grow them and to provide employment for many. The world of venture capital is changing. Sanford thinks there are great opportunities for startups that did not exist some years ago.
“Venture capitalists are coming in all shapes and sizes. There are many startups that do not need 20-30 million in capital to launch their venture.They might need only 20k-100k to get moving. There are vc’s out there that fall into this range, but they have to be able to find these startups. Our goal is to bridge that gap.”
VC Direct’s website features editorial on various startups, venture capitalists and athletes that have started their own companies. It serves as an information hub to help those in this space.
