Vanessa-Mae the star crossover violinist to play Prague's O2 Arena with legendary José Carreras

On 11th November 2014 two superstars of classical and crossover music will meet for a performance at the O2 Arena in Prague, Czech Republic.

The tenor José Carreras and the violinist Vanessa-Mae will play half concert each in an event designed to bring funds to the Czech Endowment Fund for Children’s Health.

Carreras is known to the wider audience for being part of the stunning Three Tenors line-up including Luciano Pavarotti, Placido Domingo and Mr Carreras himself – whose concerts and millions of record sales have brought pleasure to the whole world.

Vanessa-Mae is the vanguard of classical crossover. She has almost single-handedly kick started the genre back in 1995 with rousing and ground-breaking renditions of Bach’s ‘Toccata in D Minor.’ Vanessa has experienced true global success with multi-platinum sales and top chart standing in over twenty countries across the globe. The daring Vanessa has even competed as an athlete in the skiing heats at the Sochi Winter Olympics 2014!

The concert is organised by Central Group. The organisers aim to achieve at least one million CZ Crowns donations for the Children’s Charity.
