Tiny Transitions equips families across the country with the strategies they need to sleep better. The company has recently expanded its services to Scottsdale, Arizona, and Dallas, Texas, with the addition of two new pediatric sleep consultants to its “Slumber Squad.”
Rather than pushing rigid, one-size-fits-all sleep methods, Tiny Transitions’ certified sleep consultants offer a gentle, customized approach to helping infants and children sleep through the night. After helping thousands of families in its home city of Philadelphia, Tiny Transitions began extending its reach to families nationwide who are struggling to establish healthy sleep patterns.
As Tiny Transitions’ newest sleep consultants, Jodi Gaunt and Katherine Fehily will be bringing Tiny Transitions services to Scottsdale and Dallas respectively, as well as offering virtual services.
In addition to being a certified sleep consultant, Jodi is an occupational therapist with 13 years of experience. “My background in OT gives me a unique understanding of pediatric development as well as the creativity needed to help families create and maintain quality sleep interventions,” said Jodi.
Katherine is a self-described “fixer,” which she attributes to her 10 years as a mechanical engineer. After starting a family and feeling her routines being rocked by sleeplessness, she turned her attention to fixing sleep habits. “My engineer side knew that I could fix this problem,” said Katherine, who sought out countless resources to get her family’s sleep practices and her own well-being back on track.
Both consultants have completed the rigorous training to earn their sleep consultant certifications and are actively providing private and group coaching, both in-person and virtually.
Tiny Transitions’ sleep consultant certification program was developed based on scientific research from psychologists, social workers, lactation counselors, physician assistants, doulas, and care providers. It equips consultants to evaluate families with care and help them implement the research-based sleep training programs that best fit their individual dynamics.
Courtney Zentz, the company’s founder, said that sleeplessness is a significant problem for families at all stages, with 71% of infants waking at least once in the night and 90% of teenagers not getting the right amount of sleep.
“Sleep affects cognitive and mental health in young people, and there is a direct association between inadequate sleep and anxiety, depression, impulsive behavior, and lagging cognitive performance,” said Courtney.
Courtney Zentz has been recognized as a Top 200 Sleep Professional by Tuck and is a four-time “Best of Philadelphia” Sleep Consultant. She is a sought-after contributor to Fatherly, Yahoo, Parentology, Romper, The Sleep Sense Show, and more. For more information, visit www.TinyTransitions.com.
