The Solar Power International Convention is currently underway. The event has risen in popularity year after year, and this year all of its available trade space has sold out. The solar power conference and exhibition began on October 17th and is set to finish on the 20th. It’s taking place at the Dallas Conference Centre in Texas.
Throughout the four days, visitors to the event will be able to catch up and debate many key issues affecting the industry, such as the advancement of solar power, career advice and financial trends in the solar power market. As mentioned, all of the booth space has been filled, giving attendees the opportunity to view the latest innovations in solar PV systems and exhibitors the opportunity to share their products and services with a huge audience.
Over the course of the event, 24,000 solar energy industry professionals are expected to attend with one in five travelling from outside of America. Last year’s event was held in California, but due to its resounding success and sheer amount of interest it was decided to move the conference to a larger and more viable venue.
Presented by two organisations, the SEIA and SEPA, the annual event’s directive is to not only help advance the solar power industry as a whole but also promote and encourage discussion and forward thinking. With exhibitions, a detailed programme of conferences, workshops and idea swap sessions, the SPI is fast on its way to becoming one of the largest events of its type for the Solar Industry.
