In July 2018, Entrepreneur Magazine released a list of The Top 200 Franchises Operating Around the World, with The Alternative Board (TAB) recognized as #60. The award was based on a size and growth formula measuring 150 data points, including costs, fees, brand strength, franchisee support, as well as financial stability and strength.
“Franchising globally is a huge undertaking that presents a whole new set of challenges for the parent brand,” says TAB President Jason Zickerman. “Fortunately, TAB’s universal model of business owners helping business owners has been able to transcend cultures and gain recognition – such as this one – for its relevance worldwide.”
According to Entrepreneur, the companies recognized in their Top Global Franchise List represent those that are doing the best to tackle challenges, ranging from “finding and supporting franchisees from a distance to making a brand work in different cultures, languages and economies.”
The Alternative Board is currently operating franchises in 18 countries worldwide, across Canada, Europe, Australia, and now Mexico and India.
“We are honored to be ranked alongside such well-established franchises as McDonald’s and and 7-11 Inc,” adds Shaw. “This recognition is a major milestone in our international expansion, which we’re continuing to develop every day.”
The Alternative Board is the global leader of peer-based business advisory boards, with more than 3,000 members across the world. For more information about the franchise model or to schedule an interview with Jason Zickerman, contact lynn(at)contentfac(dot)com
