Shelley Joy, world-renowned Artist, Poet and Performer was recently chosen for the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award in Art for 2021 by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP) for her influence, proficiency, and dedication to her profession.
While inclusion with the International Association of Top Professionals is an honor in itself, only a few members are selected for the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award. These special honorees are distinguished based on their longevity in their fields, their contributions they have made to society and the impact they have had on their industries. Shelley is being recognized for this distinction for having over 3 decades of professional experience as a Contemporary Artist. As a dynamic, innovational leader, Shelley’s work can be viewed worldwide. In addition to her Paintings, she is also a Theatrical Artist, Poet, Songwriter and Performer. She has certainly proven herself as an accomplished professional and talented Artist.

Before embarking on her professional career path, Shelley Joy attended the Aegina Arts Center located in Greece, the New England School of Photography in Boston, the Boston Museum School of Fine Arts, and the Arts Students League in New York. She also studied at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University and the American Sign Language & English Secondary School.
Her impressive repertoire of where her work has been showcased include, the Museo de San Miguel de Allende in Mexico, Museum of Modern Art in New York City and Toyamaya Museum in Japan. Shelley Joy has also been credited as an exhibitor at the Vanderbilt Museum in New York, New Atrium Museum of the Louvre in Paris, Domus Design Center in New York, Sunda Fine Art and Blue Mountain Gallery in New York City. She has also participated in group shows with Charles Lucien Gallery which was aired on MTV, Puccio Gallery LTD and Ambassador Galleries LTD.
Throughout her remarkable career, Shelley has received awards, accolades and has been recognized worldwide for her amazing talents and passion for the arts. This year she graced the front cover of TIP Magazine and has been featured on the exclusive broadcast in Times Square, NYC on the famous Reuters Building. IAOTP will also be honoring Shelley Joy as an Empowered Woman of the Year and for the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award at their annual awards gala at the Plaza Hotel. For 2020 she was interviewed by CUTV News where they featured her artwork. In 2019, she was featured in TIP (Top Industry Professionals) Magazine and was honored at IAOTP’s annual awards gala at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas where she was selected as Top Artist of the Year. Also in 2019 she was the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Albert Nelson Marquis Who’s Who which was featured in the Wall Street Journal, had a chapter in America’s Leading Ladies Who Positively Impact our World.” In past years, she was selected as Outstanding Professional of the Year by Marquis Who’s Who and featured with Who’s Who of Professional Women. In 2018 she was recognized by Who’s Who as Top Artist for her contributions to the Art Industry.
Aside from her successful art career, Shelley Joy is widely known as a poet and performer. She collaborates with other artists, musicians, actors and singers. Shelley Joy is very active within her community and is a member of the Art Students League; the Actors’ Equity Association, Broadcast Music, Inc. and SAG-AFTRA. She pays it forward by supporting charitable missions such as Doctors Without Borders, Thorn, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Meals on Wheels, Habitat for Humanity and CARE.
Looking back, Shelley Joy attributes her success to her perseverance, mentors she has had the privilege of collaborating with and staying passionate in all of her artistic works. When she is not working, she enjoys traveling, dancing and spending time with her family. For the future she hopes to continue to inspire others with her works of art and to have her work exhibited in more museums and galleries.
