Timed to the World Book Day, IT company Lucky Labs presented popular science literature for teens in the Ukrainian language in 15 regions of Ukraine. Rustam Gilfanov, co-founder of the company, comments:
“Two years ago we started publishing and distributing non-fiction for teenagers. By that time, we saw an acute shortage of high-quality Ukrainian-language popsci literature for teenagers. By the beginning of 2019, we have distributed over 5,000 books to all regions of Ukraine. This number is constantly growing. Today, LuckyBooks non-fiction is read in more than 200 libraries of Ukraine.”
The company gifted to children’s libraries world popular science bestsellers (“Girling Up” by Mayim Bialik) that were translated into Ukrainian for the first time, as well as books by Ukrainian authors (“Summer in the length of DNA” by Alina Shtefan, “A Brief History of Technologies” by Andriy Tuzhykov).
Co-founder of Lucky Labs says that at the moment the company is preparing to release two more books. In the near future they will also be distributed to the children’s libraries of Ukraine.
“The main advantage of Ukraine is people, human potential. In the field of information technology here are some of the best specialists in the world. We want this potential to constantly increase. Therefore, Lucky Labs is engaged in the education and development of young people within our corporate social responsibility projects,” says Rustam Gilfanov.
