The IT company Lucky Labs gifted popular science books of its own literature project LuckyBooks to Kyiv schools. Among the books within the project there are works of talented Ukrainian authors and world bestsellers of the genre, translated into Ukrainian.
In particular, Kyiv schoolchildren got books “Girling Up”, “#WHATISMATH”, “A Brief History of Technologies, or How to Understand your Gadget”, “Summer in the Length of DNA”, “Tesla and the Machine on Space Energy”.
“In March 1917, the first gymnasium with Ukrainian language teaching was opened in Kyiv. This date laid the foundation for modern Ukrainian school education. Lucky Labs has been engaged in educational work for many years and is trying to inculcate interest in science among young people, so we could not ignore this date,” says Rustam Gilfanov, founder of Lucky Labs. “We believe that Ukraine has a very high potential in the field of information technologies. This is largely due to human talents. This is also due to the education system and the desire of people to develop. Therefore, our company chose education and development as the main direction of corporate social responsibility. We are glad that we can be involved in raising the level of Ukraine and Ukrainian specialists on the world stage,” Rustam Gilfanov says.
Lucky Labs launched the LuckyBooks publishing charity project in spring 2017. The main objective of the project is publication and free distribution of modern popular science literature for teenagers in the Ukrainian language. For two years of the project existence, the company has gifted over 5,000 books to 144 libraries in different regions of Ukraine.
