Dr. James Clarkson, a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, is a Plastic and Hand Surgeon with international training. After training in the British NHS, he moved to the U.S. in 2008, completing a Hand and Microvascular Surgery Fellowship in Kentucky. Since 2016, he has specialized in office-based hand surgery using WALANT (Wide Awake Local Anesthesia No Tourniquet), eliminating the need for general anesthesia. As the pioneer of Wide Awake VR, he integrates virtual reality to enhance patient comfort during surgery. Dr. Clarkson also offers skin cancer treatment and body contour surgery, providing safe, innovative, and patient-centered care.
