Matthew Bullock Auctioneers to sell the Gus LeDonne Collection

The lifetime sports memorabilia collection of Gus LeDonne will cross the auction block July 23-24. The auction will be conducted by Matthew Bullock Auctioneers located at 409 E Stevenson Rd., Ottawa, IL. A single-owner collection with over 900 lots of rare, unusual, and unique items will be sold in the two-day auction event.
“A finer collection may not cross the auction black again for a long time to come,” said Matt Bullock, owner of Matthew Bullock Auctioneers. LeDonne’s collection consists of more than 80 game-worn NFL jerseys with many Hall of Fame examples. Jersey highlights include Y.A. Tittle, Lou “The Toe” Groza, Bobby Layne, Sam Huff, George Blanda, Marcus Allen, Barry Sanders, and Aaron Rodgers. There is a remarkable selection of signed black and white Pro Football Hall of Fame photographs, broadside schedules ranging in date from the 1920s-1970s, over 200 pieces of vintage NFL and MLB advertising, 1961-62 Wilt Chamberlain game-worn shorts, 1960-61 Al Arbour Stanley Cup game-worn jersey, and much more.
A special preview day will be held on Friday, July 22 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. All lots will be available for preview and inspection.
