“Infected with a latent virus? The Center for the Biology of Chronic Disease (CBCD) recommends taking Novirin or Gene-Eden-VIR.” – Greg Bennett, CBCD
The immune system can be damaged when an individual eats foods that contain mercury (Hg). Dr. Gump and colleagues wrote in a study that increasing levels of mercury in the blood is “significantly associated with blunted diurnal cortisol levels (cortisol is a steroid hormone). Blood Hg was also significantly associated with acute-phase proteins (a class of proteins whose plasma concentrations increase or decrease in response to inflammation) suggesting systemic inflammation (inflammation in the whole body).” (1) Dr. Gump and colleagues are from the Department of Public Health, Food Studies, and Nutrition, at Syracuse University, New York. Fish are the primary source of human exposure to mercury. Therefore, eating fish is an important source of systemic inflammation.
The CBCD points out that when the immune system is damaged, latent viruses, such as EBV, CMV, HCV, etc., increase in number, which can lead to a major disease.

The CBCD therefore urges everyone infected with a latent virus, such as the human papillomavirus (HPV), the Epstein Barr Virus (EBV), the herpes simplex virus (HSV-1 and HSV-2), the cytomegalovirus (CMV), the varicella zoster virus (VZV), and more to learn about Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR. The formula of Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR was tested by Hanan Polansky and Edan Itzkovitz from the Center for the Biology of Chronic Disease (CBCD) in two clinical studies that followed FDA guidelines. The studies showed that the Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR formula is effective against the HPV, HSV-1, HSV-2, EBV and other viruses. The clinical studies were published in the peer reviewed, medical journal Pharmacology & Pharmacy, the first, in a special edition on Advances in Antiviral Drugs. Study authors wrote that, “individuals infected with the (HPV, HSV-1, HSV-2, EBV, and other viruses)…reported a safe decrease in their symptoms following treatment with Gene-Eden-VIR.” (2) The study authors also wrote that, “We observed a statistically significant decrease in the severity, duration, and frequency of symptoms.” (2)
Both products can be ordered online on the Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR websites.
Gene-Eden-VIR and Novirin are natural antiviral dietary supplements. Their formula contains five natural ingredients: Selenium, Camellia Sinesis Extract, Quercetin, Cinnamomum Extract, and Licorice Extract. The first ingredient is a trace element, and the other four are plant extracts. Each ingredient and its dose was chosen through a scientific approach. Scientists at polyDNA, the company that invented and patented the formula, scanned thousands of scientific and medical papers published in various medical and scientific journals, and identified the safest and most effective natural ingredients against latent viruses. To date, Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR are the only natural antiviral products on the market with published clinical studies that support their claims.
Mercury is “a highly reactive heavy metal that is quickly converted by microorganisms in the environment into organic methylmercury (MeHg), which bioaccumulates (builds up) in the food chain and is most highly concentrated in larger, predatory fish. As such, fish consumption recommendations are typically accompanied by warnings regarding how much and what kind of fish should be consumed, particularly for pregnant women and children. Nonetheless, pervasive chronic low-level Hg exposure is widespread.” (1)
How does this harm individuals?
“Chronic low-level Hg exposure appears to disrupt a number of physiological systems. For example, inorganic Hg (iHg) increases the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines from human immune cells … (which is) … associated with endocrine dysfunction.” (1)
Damaging human immune cells also allows latent viruses to increase in number, which can lead to a major disease.
Most scientists and physicians believe that latent viruses cause no diseases or symptoms. The FDA even states on its website: “Some viruses, however, can enter a state known as latency in which the virus is not being replicated. In the latent state the virus does not cause disease.” (3) As a result, current standard medical practices don’t target latent viruses.
However, according to Dr. Hanan Polansky’s theory of Microcompetition, the decrease in the immune system will increase the number of latent viruses in these patients. One typical virus that infects most people is the Epstein Barr Virus (EBV). Research shows that in high concentrations, these viruses cause disease. Therefore, the CBCD suggests reducing the numbers of latent viruses in the body.

Based on the evidence presented above, the CBCD recommends that individuals take Novirin or Gene-Eden-VIR, two natural antivirals designed to help boost the immune system target latent viruses.

About CBCD
The Center for the Biology of Chronic Disease (https://www.cbcd.net) is a not-for-profit tax-exempt organization under section 501(c) 3 of the IRS tax code. The center’s mission is to advance the research on the biology of chronic disease and to accelerate the discovery of a cure for these diseases. The CBCD first published Dr. Hanan Polansky’s highly acclaimed “Purple” book, entitled “Microcompetition with Foreign DNA and the Origin of Chronic Disease” in 2003. In this book, he explains how foreign DNA fragments can cause many major diseases. The book has been read by more than 5,000 scientists around the world, and has been reviewed in more than 20 leading scientific journals. These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
