Menlo Park Presbyterian Church has named Gary Lindsay as Director of Children’s Ministry at Menlo Park Presbyterian Church. Lindsay was most recently at Irving Bible Church in Irving, Texas, where he served as Children’s Pastor for over 1,000 children, and held that position for the past eight years. Prior, Lindsay was Director of Children’s Ministry at Grace Baptist Church in Hudson, Massachusetts for four years and Director of Christian Education at South United Methodist Church in Manchester, Connecticut for three years. Lindsay began his ministry career as a missionary with Covenant Players. Lindsay obtained a National Diploma in Hotel Management from the University of Johannesburg in Johannesburg, South Africa.
“God calls us to new places, to do new things, and to forge new relationships. We are looking forward to being a part of the Menlo community of families and to making friendships there,” says Lindsay who will be moving to the Bay Area in March and will live in Menlo Park with his wife Heidi, middle school-aged daughter, and elementary school-aged son. In his spare time he enjoys cooking and traveling.
“The growing number of young families at MPPC is a key part of our outreach, especially since many of today’s families live under high pressure,” says Charley Scandlyn, Menlo Park Campus Pastor. “We are excited by the experience and knowledge Gary brings.”
