His musical career has spanned the last 6 years performing as a DJ and working as an audio engineer, writer, and producer. He began his musical career by Djing in Clearwater, Gainesville, Orlando, Tampa, Miami, Tallahassee, Atlanta and New York City. After a move to New York City, Aloor began honing his craft as a producer dropping records ala DJ Khaled where he would feature artists from all over the world on his songs. He has headlined with Ace Hood, Trinidad James, Riff Raff, and Big Makk. Fast-forward to today and Aloor has fully embraced his dynamic artistry with an established string of successful releases on well-known labels including: Empire, Capitol Records, Atlantic Records, Caroline, and Alamo Records.
Who and what are your biggest musical inspirations?
“I was honestly inspired by the fact that music is the world’s only universal language. Everyone can feel music regardless of the language its in. My biggest musical inspirations are Michael Jackson, Tears for Fears, Quincy Jones, The Weeknd, and so many more.”
How would you describe your music style, genre, etc.?
“I’d describe my style as fusion. The label I founded this year, NOGXNRE focuses on how fluid music is and how blurred the boundaries of genres are. I have releases in R&B, Pop, Trap, Reggae, Reggaeton, EDM, and Country so I wouldn’t say I have a singular sound, I just enjoy great music.”
Tell us a little more about your musical journey so far.
“My musical journey has been a fun one where I have had to wear many hats. I have been a DJ, an audio engineer, an assistant, a runner, a visual designer and everything in between. Each experience taught me a lesson that I am thankful for.”
So, PA’BAJO is definitely a fire track, tell me a little more about it.
“Thank you! PA’BAJO and it is a melting pot of music from all over the world. The song has a touch of DJ Snake with Houston trap infused in it. The song came about as a collaboration between myself and my colleague Corey “YEROC” Scherer after a late night studio session in North Hollywood. We loved the bounce it had and gave it to our other producer Everlyte who created the middle trap part where Luna is on. One thing led to another and here we are with a crazy track!”
