Medical Benevolence Foundation Announces Appointment of Three New Board Members

Appointees bring additional international, healthcare and ministry experience to leadership team.

The Medical Benevolence Foundation (MBF), announced today the appointment of three new members to the Board of Directors, bringing the total to 14 board members. Joining the board are Ms. Pauline (Tony) Hilton, Mr. Elias Schulze and Rev. Brian Marsh. Each has experience that will benefit and help advance MBF’s leadership in 21st century medical missions.

Ms. Pauline (Tony) Hilton is Clinical Practice Health Care Administrator for the Veterans Administration. She holds a Doctorate in Public Health and is a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner. In addition to her work with the VA Health System, Hilton has extensive international experience. Her expertise in setting up and managing family practice clinics for medically indigent patients and building coalition groups with local city leadership equip her with the skills and knowledge to bring a unique contribution to MBF’s vision and strategy.

Mr. Elias Schulze is co-founder and Executive Chairman of Kana Television, Ethiopia’s leading television network. He is also Managing Partner of The Africa Group, an early-stage venture capital firm focused on specialized opportunities in dynamic start-ups across Kenya, South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana and Ethiopia. Mr. Schulze specializes in frontier markets investment, consulting and media. A former Engagement Manager for McKinsey & Company in Nigeria, Mr. Schulze brings extensive strategic business experience to MBF’s board. Currently residing in London, Elias is a graduate of Georgetown University and of the University of Oxford.

Rev. Brian Marsh is the Associate Pastor of Eastminster Presbyterian Church in Columbia, South Carolina. Rev. Marsh holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering and a Master of Divinity. Marsh brings a long history of spiritual ministry and a keen interest and background in supporting medical missions. He provides the perspective of a local church congregation that is highly engaged in outreach mission, serving both locally and internationally.
