International IT company Lucky Labs has developed a unique training course on programming for teens. It is based on the main trends of modern IT education: students get new knowledge basing on game scenarios and practical workshops.
The theoretical part of the courses is based on gamification. The facts are presented in the form of a game, which makes the training more flexible and interactive. Game scenarios also contribute to a more complete expansion of the student’s personality, sometimes with a very unexpected way.
“The program of our courses, in which we teach students to write code and create their first video games, is based on games. And it is not accidental. A variety of gamification techniques help involve students emotionally . They bring joy, surprise and elements of support to the training. This allows one to achieve the goals in a more natural way, without stress, unnecessary strain and overwork,” press service of Lucky Labs commented.
The second element of the training course is the principle of reduced interval. It consists in laconic forms of training with an emphasis on the implementation of practical tasks. Such a fragmented approach provides better assimilation of new information.
“During the development of his own author game on the Unity 3D engine student “hones” his knowledge on the implementation of smaller projects. So, the students study algorithms using the example of tic-tac-toe, and they learn to write code using the example of the simplest games, which will take 5 minutes to create,” Lucky Labs press service added.
