Circle The Wagons (CTW) received an expansion capital round led by Callais Capital to continue its growth and accelerate product development and sales. Headquartered in Houma, Louisiana, Circle The Wagons’ GPO provides cost-savings solutions for independent grocery stores across the United States by leveraging a collective buying strategy to negotiate better terms on behalf of their network. Small to medium-sized grocery store operators experience reduced expenses and improved profitability through a free membership.
Currently, CTW has more than 60 member companies, operating hundreds of locations across the U.S. Discounts provided currently include office supplies, insurance products, grocery equipment, energy management, pre-employment services, uniforms, emerging technologies in recycling and waste management, and much more.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with Callais Capital. They’ve been a great partner and advisor to us, and we are excited to work with them as we enter this next phase of rapid growth,” CEO Bill Alford said.
Co-founder of CTW Barton Howard remarked, “On average, a grocer spends 10% on not-for-resale products and services. We are changing that. This new investment will enable us to reach a larger group of grocers quickly and continue to expand and improve our product offering and technology platform for our members.”
“We look forward to working with Bill, Barton, and the entire CTW team as they make a difference to the cost profile of their members,” said Hal Callais with Callais Capital Ventures. “There is a lot of room to enrich member and vendor experiences. CTW is just beginning to scratch the surface.”
