Logical Operations, the leading provider of technical instructor-led training materials, is excited to announce the immediate release of CertNexus
The CyberSec First Responder CFR-410 exam validates cybersecurity professionals’ ability to effectively identify, detect, protect, respond, and recover from malicious activities involving computing systems. Aligning vendor-neutral cybersecurity skills to the NIST Cybersecurity Framework makes CFR a must-have certification for all security personnel. In addition, CFR-410 aligns personnel skills with federal guidance such as NIST 800-61r2 (Computer Security Incident Handling Guide), US-CERT’s National Cyber Incident Response Plan (NCIRP), and Presidential Policy Directive 41 (PPD-41) on Cyber Incident Coordination. The CFR-410 certification meets all requirements for personnel requiring DoD directive 8570.01-M position certification baselines:
- CSSP Analyst
- CSSP Infrastructure Support
- CSSP Incident Responder
- CSSP Auditor
“Logical Operations believes CertNexus’ CFR-410 is the anchor certification for any organization that takes security seriously, and right now every organization should be taking security seriously given the perfect storm we’re in,” says Technology Education Jedi Jon O’Keefe.
The “perfect storm” O’Keefe is referring to is the combination of a continuing crisis in cybersecurity staffing in which 75% of all organizations are already struggling to find talent, the Great Resignation of 2021-2022 which has hit IT careers particularly hard, and the 800% rise of malicious security threats in the weeks following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. O’Keefe continues, “The need for cybersecurity training is at yet another inflection point. We’ll see tenfold the amount of training on this topic over the next two years. Those who have been able to ignore skilling their IT and security teams will no longer be able to do so.”
“Logical Operations publishes and supports instructor-led training materials for several major security certifications, including Cyber Secure Coder (CSC), CyberSAFE, and CISSP,” says Jim Gabalski, Logical Operations Vice President. “CFR-410 enhances the portfolio to complete a vision of training and certification for any organization looking to have a comprehensive cybersecurity program and cultivate a security-first culture.”
