After demonstrating success in a wide range of leadership positions in successful organizations, Brooklyn-based leadership expert Karim Camara has recently shifted the direction of his efforts to helping individual and organizations reach their potential by through effective leadership as CEO of a dynamic, new leadership development firm, Camara Strategies International. Camara has been a student of some of the biggest names in the self-development world, including acclaimed author John Maxwell, taking these lessons and experiences with him to his work helping others.
“Before we launched we did extensive research to gauge the need for a new firm that engages in personal development and organizational development,” commented Camara about the direction of his new efforts. “Over eighty percent of organizations felt that leadership challenges such as communicating vision and mission were huge challenges.”
According to Camara Strategies International, the core of its services will be dramatically improving individual and organizational effectiveness through executive coaching, team training, and organizational strategic planning. Camara pledged that the organization will focus on “purpose” as much, if not more, that it focuses on profit.
“Although a large part of our success will be made possible by serving executives and non-profit organizations, we will be aggressively reaching recent college graduates and disconnected youth with many very low-cost and even free programs” Camara remarked. “Those services will range from helping individuals pursue their purpose and passion to teaching them to survive professionally in constantly changing economies. We will always have a range of free and fee-based programs.

In addition to being the CEO of Camara Strategies International, he is also the CEO/Founding Pastor of Abundant Life Church, Brooklyn, New York, along with being the top official in New York State Government focusing on community development.
