Jeff Block has registered with the Federal Election Commission as a candidate for President in the election of 2012. His campaign, JeffBlock2012.com, is a revolution designed to answer just one question: WHAT IF voters got to VOTE on a revolution? Watch his short introduction video.
I’ll be your president for 100 days. Elect me for President in 2012 and in 2013 President Obama and I will spend 100 days transitioning to a new government. On day 101 I will resign (and President Obama’s term will expire) leaving 372 men and women with the power, tools, systems, and mandates to EFFECTIVELY & EFFICIENTLY run the United States of America.
“WE HAVE PERMISSION TO CHANGE THE SYSTEM” says Mr. Block and adds “permission was given to us in 1776 by John Adams” who wrote:
“Government is instituted for the common good; for the protection, safety, prosperity, and happiness of the people; and not for the profit, honor, or private interest of any one man, family, or class of men; therefore, the people alone have an incontestable, unalienable, and indefeasible right to institute government; and to reform, alter, or totally change the same, when their protection, safety, prosperity, and happiness require it.”
Mr. Block is not the first person to point out that our political system is broken. Many today are calling for “taking back our country…”, but he asks “What does that mean? How are you going to take back our country? And how are you going to keep it once you’ve taken it back?” He seeks a cooperative effort from EVERY citizen to mold and modify a platform to create a new system of government that is FOR “We the People”, and includes a mechanism to keep it for the people too!
