IntoBirds, an online magazine, community, and educational resource for all things birds ventured to Brooklyn Bridge Park in Brooklyn, N.Y. to spend the morning birdwatching with a wolf.
This wolf is a birder named Heather Wolf, whose enthusiasm, passion, knowledge, and love for birds is so infectious the only way to capture Heather’s thrill of birding is to experience it with her.
Wolf is the author of the book ‘Birding at the Bridge: In Search of Every Bird on the Brooklyn Waterfront,’ a field guide for Brooklyn Bridge Park and a patch field diary written to inspire birders of all levels to experience birding and other aspects of the natural world.
“Meeting Heather and spending several hours birding with her in her magical bird patch set against the stunning backdrop of lower Manhattan with views of New York’s most historical landmarks was a sheer joy for us,” says Reneé Hewitt co-founder, and editor-in-chief of intoBirds. “Brooklyn Bridge Park is an amazing place because it’s a patch of wilderness in the middle of the city and should be at the top of every birder’s list when they visit New York.”
