Ogden, UT (PRUnderground) September 18th, 2024

As part of their list of the nation’s top 100 hospitals, Becker’s Hospital Review has recognized Intermountain McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah as one of the nation’s “Great Hospitals in America” for 2024.

In recognizing Intermountain McKay-Dee Hospital, Becker’s cited the hospital for its clinical excellence, commitment to patient safety, innovative initiatives, research and innovation, and high levels of patient satisfaction.

“We are honored to be included on Becker’s list of America’s greatest hospitals, among so many other renowned hospitals,” said Judy Williamson, president of Intermountain McKay-Dee Hospital. “This national recognition represents our caregivers’ tireless dedication and commitment to safety, high quality of care, and innovation that benefits our patients and all of the communities throughout northern Utah.”

Hospitals on the Becker’s Greatest Hospitals list are known for their leadership in the healthcare field, top tier clinical work, commitment to patient outcomes and safety, innovative advancements, and overall performance across various specialties.

In selecting hospitals for the annual list, Becker’s editorial staff considers and reviews hospitals’ recent awards, achievements, rankings, and ratings such as U.S. News & World Report, Healthgrades awards, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) star ratings and The Leapfrog Group safety grades.

Intermountain McKay-Dee has 310 beds and offers care in 63 specialties, serves as a Level II trauma center, has received recognition for its nationally ranked clinical programs, and has been named one of the nation’s Top 100 hospitals by Fortune Magazine and PINC AI.

“Our services are among the top in the nation, including our expanded Intermountain Cancer Center at McKay-Dee Hospital, dedicated to high-quality patient care and safety standards,” said Williamson. “As a vital community partner, Intermountain McKay-Dee is committed to promoting overall wellness and superior patient outcomes. We’re grateful to have those efforts validated by our patients and others, such as Becker’s Hospital Review.”
