Intermountain Health Selects Clay Ashdown as New CFO

Clay Ashdown has been named as the new chief financial officer for Intermountain Health after a robust candidate review process. In this role, he will lead and be responsible for all finance and associated functions across the enterprise. This leadership change was effective October 23.
“Clay has been a champion and trusted Intermountain leader for decades,” said Rob Allen, president and CEO of Intermountain Health. “With a strong command of the firm ties between finance and operations, he is undoubtedly the leader for the role.”

Ashdown has been with Intermountain Health for the last 23 years. He first started with Intermountain Health as an advanced financial analyst after working at the accounting firm of KPMG. Since that time, he has advanced to progressive finance leadership roles in a variety of areas throughout the organization. Most recently, Ashdown served as the senior vice president of finance operations. Either currently or in prior roles, he has had leadership accountability over finance operations, debt and capital markets, rating agency and investor relations, payer contracting, financial planning and strategy, capital planning, construction, real estate, and Intermountain Ventures.
