Intermountain Park City Hospital is welcoming its first pediatric orthopedic surgeon, who will provide comprehensive, orthopedic care to children and further expand the hospital’s pediatric care services for families living along the Wasatch Back.

Marcella Woiczik, MD, brings more than 14 years of experience, expertise, and dedication to treating young orthopedic patients in a variety of healthcare settings, from the outpatient clinic to the emergency room.

“We are delighted to welcome Marcella to our esteemed team of physicians,” said Wing Province, MD, medical director at Intermountain Park City Hospital. “Dr. Woiczik’s expertise and compassionate approach to patient care aligns perfectly with our organization’s values and commitment to excellence. Her arrival undoubtedly strengthens our ability to provide our littlest patients comprehensive and personalized orthopedic care.”

Dr. Woiczik received her medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio. She completed her internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin, with a fellowship in pediatric orthopedic surgery at the University of Utah.

Dr. Woiczik, who most recently practiced at the University of Utah and Shriner’s Children’s in Salt Lake City, has actively pursued professional development throughout her career and remained at the forefront of medical advancements and best practices in pediatric orthopedics to benefit her patients. This spring she received the Special Effort and Excellence Award from the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America.

“I’m thrilled to join the medical staff at Intermountain Park City Hospital and contribute to delivering exceptional healthcare services along the Wasatch Back,” Dr. Woiczik said. “I am deeply committed to building strong patient relationships and providing comprehensive, evidence-based care. I look forward to collaborating with my colleagues and positively impacting our patients’ health and well-being.”

Pediatric orthopedic surgery is a new service at Intermountain Park City Hospital that began Aug. 1st. Dr. Woiczik will help patients in the emergency room, and in the outpatient clinic setting. She joins The Orthopedic Partners clinic on the hospital campus, formerly the Rosenberg Cooley Metcalf (RCM) Clinic. She will provide surgical care at Intermountain Park City Hospital, as well as Primary Children’s Hospital.

Orthopedic surgery is the latest addition to Intermountain Health Park City Hospital’s growing pediatric services, which include pediatric surgery, an inpatient children’s unit, and a pediatric hospitalist, which bring exceptional care closer to home for area families and their children.
