Herpes Viruses Found in Breast Cancer Tumors; The CBCD Reviews the Medical Evidence

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women. Many studies found a link between herpes viruses and breast cancer. As Dr. Akhter and colleagues wrote, “In several published studies, viruses such as human mammary tumor virus, human papillomaviruses, Epstein-Barr virus, human cytomegalovirus, herpes simplex virus, and measles virus have been implicated in the pathogenesis of a subset of breast cancers (BC).” (1) Dr. Akhter and colleagues are from the King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center in Saudi Arabia. These are important findings since Dr. Kakpenova wrote in another study that “we evaluated to what extent infection is significant, and concluded that members of the herpesvirus … (family) … definitely associate with breast cancer.” (2) Interestingly, Dr. Kakpenova wrote in the same study that “We propose that preventing and treating infections may possibly stop or even eliminate certain types of cancers.” (2) Dr. Kakpenova is from the Nazarbayev University in Kazakhstan.

The Center for the Biology of Chronic Disease (CBCD) recommends that people who suspect an infection with the herpes virus (HSV-2 or HSV-1) take Novirin or Gene-Eden-VIR. The formula of these natural antiviral products was tested by Hanan Polansky and Edan Itzkovitz from the CBCD in two clinical studies that followed FDA guidelines. The studies showed that the Gene-Eden-VIR and Novirin formula is effective against the herpes simplex virus, and other viruses. The clinical studies were published in the peer reviewed, medical journal Pharmacology & Pharmacy, the first, in a special edition on Advances in Antiviral Drugs.  Study authors wrote that, “individuals infected with the HSV … reported a safe decrease in their symptoms following treatment with Gene-Eden-VIR.” (3)  The study authors also wrote that, “we observed a statistically significant decrease in the severity, duration, and frequency of symptoms.” (3)

Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR are natural antiviral dietary supplements. Their formula contains five natural ingredients: Selenium, Camellia Sinesis Extract, Quercetin, Cinnamomum Extract, and Licorice Extract. Greg Bennett further noted, “In the nucleus, “microcompetition” between the foreign N-boxes and the human N-boxes in the human genes can lead to a major disease. When the foreign N-boxes belong to a virus, microcompetition between the viral DNA and the human DNA can lead to disease even when the virus is latent (dormant) or the viral DNA is broken into pieces and cannot express proteins. As predicted by Dr. Hanan Polansky, many studies found fragments of DNA that belong to these viruses in tumors, clogged arteries (arterial plaque), arthritic joints, and other diseased tissues.”

The CBCD points out that while there are antiviral drugs designed to target active herpesviruses, most “oral antiviral therapy decreases the duration and the associated pain of an outbreak by merely one day.”  (3) To target latent herpesviruses, the CBCD recommends Novirin or Gene-Eden-VIR.
